It’s all over but the crying.
Actually, I won’t blame Ticats fans who shed a tear after what happened Friday night and early Saturday morning.
Hamilton lost in agonizing fashion against Calgary, 28-25, after a needless pass interference penalty against safety Courtney Stephen set up Rene Paredes’ game-winning chip shot field goal.
Three hours later, in Saskatchewan, the Ottawa Redblacks pulled out an incredible last second come-from-behind 33-32 victory against the Roughriders.
The two results eliminated the Tiger-Cats from playoff contention and sent the defensing Grey Cup champion Redblacks back to the post-season.

So now what? What happens in Hamilton’s three remaining game?
Some fans are calling for former starting quarterback Zach Collaros to start the last three games so the front office can watch to see how he performs in June Jones’ offence.
I think it’s a sensible idea, however, it won’t be the same.
Any assessment that will be made on how Collaros moves the offence will not be a fair one. Hamilton is out, they have nothing to play for.
There will not be a sense of urgency this Sunday when the Cats visit Montreal. Hamilton will not be playing on the edge when they travel to Ottawa the following week. And in Hamilton’s season finale against the Alouettes at Tim Hortons Field, you can’t blame the players, on either team, if they go through the motions.
The Tiger-Cats are a deflated team that won’t be able to do anything about their current fortunes until next spring.
