The old adage says March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb and anyone tired of winter weather will be hoping it holds true.
A snowfall warning is in place for several southwestern Ontario counties: London-Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford-Brant, Simcoe-Delhi-Norfolk, and Windsor-Essex-Chatham-Kent.
The 980 CFPL-Gateway Casinos London Storm Centre is tracking a low pressure system heading in from Texas that’s expected to bring a large area of heavy snow Thursday night as it makes its way to southwestern Ontario.

Environment Canada expects 15 to 20 centimetres of snowfall by Friday morning, when the system moves out of the region.
Strong and gusty northerly winds are anticipated, resulting in blowing and drifting snow, and the changeover from rain to snow when the system first arrives is also expected to cause trouble for motorists.
In London, the rain is expected to switch to snow at around 5 p.m. — just in time for the afternoon drive home. Heavy snow is forecast until around 3 p.m. Friday morning.
