Hamilton Police have arrested a 29-year-old man who allegedly attempted to rob a woman at an ATM.
Police say around 10 a.m. on Monday, a 68-year-old woman was using an ATM bank machine inside the TD Bank branch on King Street West, when she was grabbed from behind by a man.
He held the victim while pressing buttons on the ATM keypad, attempting to withdraw money from the victim’s account, but the victim screamed and he took off on foot empty-handed.

She suffered minor injuries.
Just over two hours later, police arrested the suspect in the area of Ferguson and Cannon Street.
Randy Bearfoot, 29, of Hamilton, is facing charges of robbery and failing to comply with his probation.
