It’s a decades-long tradition in Port Hope. Hundreds of paddlers climbed into canoes, kayaks, and homemade rafts on Saturday to take part in the 10 kilometre Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny race. Germain Ma has more.

Float your Fanny Down the Ganny hit the Ganaraska River in Port Hope, Ont., on Saturday. But, thanks to Mother Nature, the beloved event had to be scaled back. Still, as Germain Ma reports, it didn’t leave paddlers disappointed.

The 39th annual Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny attracted thousands of people from across the region to take the canoes, kayaks and crazy craft racing through the Ganaraska River.
