Canadians back eliminating trade barriers and fast-tracking nation-building, poll finds
Description
July 9, 2025
A new Ipsos poll shows many Canadians are paying close attention to inter-provincial trade barriers and nation-building projects, with support strongest among men and those over 55. Ipsos CEO Darrell Bricker says Canadians have heard the political talk and now want to see real progress, especially when it comes to eliminating trade restrictions. While most believe cutting barriers will boost the economy, 55% say they’ll only believe it’s happening once construction begins.
