On Wednesday, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow announced that the Ontario government has officially broken ground on the elevated guideway and four new stations in Toronto's east end for the Ontario Line. "That's real progress for Thorncliffe Park, Flemington Park and the Don Valley," Chow said and added, "the Ontario Line will transform how people move across our city." Once complete, the 15.6-kilometre line will run from Exhibition Place to Don Mills, with 15 stations and more than 40 connections to other transit services.
