COVID-19: New Brunswick could see 1,000 cases a day within a week, health minister says
Description
December 31, 2021
New Brunswick Health Minister Dorothy Shephard said on Friday that the province could see 1,000 new COVID-19 cases per day within a week as the Omicron variant continues to spread. These numbers could cause hospitals across the province to see more than 160 COVID-19 patients by mid-January, Shephard said, which would “very quickly overwhelm our health-care providers.”
